David Makar arrived on earth in 1976 with a goal to experience all he could on this little planet.

He studied Computer Science at the birth of the internet. He's been a blogger, web publisher, writer, editor, painter, illustrator, graphic designer, consultant, trainer, coach, and software executive. He's served in public office and he's been a "40 under 40" and a Chamber of Commerce Key Person of the Year.

He’s been a confirmed Catholic, studied buddhism, and walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain. He’s a 1st generation American. He’s an international speaker, runner, and outrigger canoer. He's worked for a start-up that had an 8-figure exit. He’s been married and divorced, bought 3 houses, and has a daughter.

He’s visited 49 states. He’s written and had work published online for the last 4 decades. He recently visited Japan with his 12 year old daughter.

He’s working on his MFA and is writing the next Great American Novel.

Miles was born and raised in Miami FL and migrated  north to Ithaca NY for 19 years. He now lives in Jensen Beach with his wife Heidi Lee who is a local artist.

Miles is the founder of a communications and training company called Going the Extra Mile.

He is passionate about nature, helping people to make lasting connections and as  a public speaker, business coach and board member of Care Bag and New Horizons, he finds ways to express his creativity while giving back at the same time.

He is the father of two young adults, Grace and Marshall.

His bedrock philosophy is givers gain.

Something you may not have realized about Miles is he participated in a 10 week intensive language program in Aman, Jordan in 1989.

Miles’ burning desire is to instill in his clients the attitudes, techniques and behaviors that allow them to soar.
